President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Kazan on October 23-24 to attend the BRICS summit, the presidential press service said.

The Uzbek leader will address the session of the summit in the BRICS Plus format, which will be chaired by Russia.

The agenda of the meeting will reportedly include the ways to expand international cooperation in order to ensure inclusive and sustainable development and will also consider the global politics.

The president also plans to hold a number of bilateral meetings.

The BRICS was founded in 2006. Currently, its members are Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.
