Driver hit an 11-year-old schoolgirl in his GM Cobalt at an unregulated pedestrian crossing near a school in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent province, the press service of the National Traffic Safety Department said. The footage of the incident surfaced on social networks.

The accident occurred on September 30 at 7:45 on the 41st km of the D014 Gazalkent to Nurafshan highway opposite school No. 14.

The footage shows the girl approaching the pedestrian crossing and starting to cross the road. A man in uniform and with a red flag (they are called "crossing guards") raised the flag, but at that moment the girl was hit by a car.

The driver, 26, M. N. put the schoolgirl in the car and took her to the hospital. The Road Safety Department said the girl was given first aid and discharged from the hospital. No details were given about her general condition. The Road safety department of the District police department is investigating the situation.
