Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov met with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Oqilbek Japarov during his visit to the Chinese city of Urumqi.

The parties discussed three promising infrastructure projects included in the agenda of bilateral cooperation and outlined by the leaders of the two countries.

At the meeting, they discussed the Qambarota HPP-1 and HPP projects on the Chotkal river.

The two heads of government also discussed the Talas-Chotkal-Tashkent highway project. reportedly, a Roadmap is currently being developed. The implementation of the project will help to increase the volume of two-way trade and to boost the tourism potential of the two countries.

In addition, Abdulla Aripov and Oqilbek Japarov discussed reciprocal stepping up of efforts for a conveyor and coal logistics center project aimed at supplying solid fuel from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

The parties underscored that the adoption of measures to promote the above infrastructure projects would serve to strengthen the fraternal strategic relations between the two countries.
