Abdulla Aripov will visit Kazakhstan and attend the Astana International Forum. The Forum with a theme: "Overcoming challenges through dialogue: on the path of cooperation, development and progress", will discuss issues of climate change, food shortages and energy security.
According to the Akorda, on June 8, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will address the plenary session of the Forum.
Among the guests of the forum are Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović, Managing Director of the IMF Kristalina Georgieva, Director General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay, Deputy Secretary General UN, Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Armida Alisjahbana and others.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum.
