A comprehensive global salary index released by the independent publication CEOWORLD ranks Uzbekistan 117th out of 197 countries in terms of average monthly net income. Based on data evaluating take-home pay after all mandatory taxes are deducted, the study highlights both a vast global wage gap and Uzbekistan's distinct position within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The Global Top Tier
The study identifies Switzerland as the world leader in disposable income, where officially employed citizens earn an astonishing average monthly net salary of $8,218. Luxembourg follows in second place at $6,740, with the United States securing third at $6,562.
The remainder of the global top ten is dominated by European nations and global financial hubs:

- Norway: $5,772
- Denmark: $5,749
- Canada: $5,188
- Ireland: $4,729
- The Netherlands: $4,688

Regional Standings: Where Uzbekistan Fits in the CIS
Within the CIS region, Russia leads by a wide margin, placing 32nd globally with an average net income of $2,266. Kazakhstan occupies the second-highest spot in the region, offering a take-home average of $780 per month.
Uzbekistan sits in the middle tier of the regional ranking with an average net monthly salary of $458, placing ahead of its neighbors Kyrgyzstan ($335) and Tajikistan ($276).
