The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan hosted concert: Flavors of Indian Dance on Wednesday, organized by the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan jointly with the Lal Bahadur Shastri Center for Indian Culture.
The event brought together talented students of the Center and participants from the Samarkand State Medical University, who showcased bright and original dances.
During the event, the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Her Excellency Ms. Smita Pant underscored the strong cultural ties between the two countries. In an interview, she told that such cultural exchanges contribute to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between peoples.
“The ties between India and Uzbekistan are strong, and we will continue to build bridges through such cultural exchanges,” Ms. Pant added.
The Ambassador also noted that Indian dance traditions such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Garba had found a lively response among the Uzbek audience. The performances of students testified to not only skill but also sincere dedication to the Indian culture.
The house was full at the concert, becoming a shining example of cultural diplomacy. According to the organizers, such events help deepen cooperation in the field of art, education and cultural exchange.
