President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Russian President Vladimir Putin Saturday in Qingdao, the presidential press service reported.
According to media reports, Vladimir Putin is expected to pay state visit to Uzbekistan in autumn, and the first Uzbekistan-Russia inter-provinces forum is planned to be held in Tashkent. The counterparts discussed the details of these events and exchanged of views on international and regional issues.
Last year, delegations of the two countries made 70 mutual visits, with 21 inter-provinces meetings held. Year to date, the two-way trade between Uzbekistan and Russia has grown by over 40%. "There are still great many huge projects ahead," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
