Uzbekistan delegation led by the chairman of the Senate, Nigmatilla Yuldashev will attend the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to be held on May 18 in Istanbul, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry officially informed the Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Bashar Shen on May 16, the ministry said.

According to Interfax, Turkey has announced its decision to organize an extraordinary summit after the opening of the United States Embassy in strongly condemned the U.S. for opening the embassy in Jerusalem and Israel for “committing a massacre” against the Palestinian protestors. It called its envoys to Washington D.C. and Tel Aviv for consultations. During the protests, according to various sources, from 55 to 60 Palestinians perished, with over 2000 were injured.
