Uzbek-Kyrgyz inter-ministerial consultations on inventory check and improvement of the legal framework of bilateral relations were held in Bishkek on July 4-6, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by the Director of the International Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Erkin Aidit.

The sides checked the lists of existing bilateral documents, discussed draft agreements under consideration, and also reviewed prospects for expansion of the legal basis for cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on the functioning of the legal services of foreign ministries and information on modifications to the legislative acts of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan concerning the conclusion and execution of international treaties.
