The Uzbek Ministry for IT and Communications Development and SAP CIS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday which is aimed at development of a digital economy in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the MoU, the parties agreed to cooperate in such areas as training of ICT personnel through SAP University Alliance for further implementation of high-tech projects and promotion of IT services export. MoU will facilitate transfer of SAP’s experience and technology, introduction of modern billing systems for utilities services based on SAP solutions and the digitalization of economy sectors and others.

The MoU will also facilitate building of expertise among local partners and integrators for their further participation in implementation and support of SAP solutions in Uzbekistan, as well as export of these services to other countries. In addition, it is planned to open a permanent office in Uzbekistan.
