Uzbekistan futsal team qualifies for World Cup - Tashkent Times

The Uzbekistan national futsal team earned the automatic berth to the World Cup in Lithuania, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) reported.

Uzbekistan has joined Iran and Japan from Asia. The remaining two teams will be determined in play-offs, in which Iraq, Lebanon, Thailand and Vietnam will play.

The Futsal World Championship in Lithuania will be the second in Uzbekistan’s history. The team made it to the 2016 World Cup in Colombia.

The futsal World Cup will take place in Lithuania from September 12 to October 3, 2021. The tournament will be attended by 24 teams.
