President of the Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Fazylov and president of the Kontinental Hockey League Dmitry Chernyshenko reached a provisional deal on holding the KHL World Games in Tashkent. The two met on Tuesday in Moscow.

According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation, the world games are scheduled to be venued by the Humo Arena, which is to be inaugurated in spring.

As reported earlier Uzbekistan hockey championship resumed on February 8 after a five-year break, featuring four teams - Tashkent, Binokor, Semurg and Humo.

In addition, the federation announced plans to begin construction of ice palaces in major cities of Uzbekistan.

The Continental Hockey League is is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises 25 member clubs based in Belarus, China, Finland, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Slovakia and it is planned to expand to more countries.
