The National Football Center is set to host the AFC Elite Referees Seminar (West Region) from August 3 to 7. This seminar stands as one of the most critical educational initiatives organized for the Asian Football Confederation’s elite-tier match officials.
The event will gather representatives from the AFC Referees Department, 92 elite Asian referees, veteran AFC instructors, and leading specialists in referee development.
Over the course of five days, the seminar will feature both theoretical and practical training sessions. These modules will focus on modern refereeing standards, match incident analysis, decision-making quality, on-field management, physical fitness, and the latest instructions regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.
In a testament to regional expertise, Uzbek officials—seasoned instructor Valentin Kovalenko and FIFA referee Ilgiz Tantashev—will also travel to Japan to contribute to the East Region phase of the seminar.
