Termez International Airport will be temporarily closed From November 1 to December 25 due to the preparation for commissioning of a new complex, Uzbekistan Airports said.
To date, the construction of a new 3000 m x 60 m runway has been completed. Reportedly, within the next two months, taxiways will be connected with the runway and apron, as well as new ICAO CAT-I lighting system, meteorological and radio navigation landing systems will be installed.
Uzbekistan Airports added that due to this inconvenience it is planned to increase the number of bus and railway services to Termez.
