On September 22, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the WIUT and the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

The main purpose of the memorandum is to establish communication between entrepreneurs, investors and students within the framework of "corporate innovations" in the innovation center of WIUT innoWIUT. The launch of InvestHUB encourages students to become part of the Economic Assembly and make a feasible contribution to the economy of Uzbekistan. Also, in order to implement the provisions of this Memorandum, the parties signed a programme of activities for 2022, which includes the following activities:

- The Assembly of Economy of Uzbekistan and WIUT will launch a joint project called "InvestHUB", which will help the parties to unlock the potential of cooperation.

- To enable WIUT students to gain practical experience of participation in real processes of business negotiations on investment, trade and technology transfer between members of the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan and potential international partners. Foreign enterprises will prepare students for future economic competitiveness.

- Within the first 2 weeks after the start of the InvestHUB project, the parties will prepare a roadmap for the next year, which will indicate the activities, tasks and deadlines. Such roadmaps will be prepared on an ongoing basis as the cooperation of the Parties continues.

The event was attended by the Rector of WIUT Bakhrom Mirkasimov, the Chairman of the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan Mukhtor Umarov, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Tourism of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Ravshanbek Alimov, the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimkhon Rustamov, the Head of the Department of Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ashraf Khodjaev, as well as Mr. Mahmut Asmali, Chairman of the Association of Independent industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkey "Müstakil Sanayici ve İşadamları Derneği - MUSIAD".

Among the participants there were representatives of more than 14 associations.

Also, within the framework of the Memorandum, it is planned to hold regular visits of working delegations of both sides, conferences, forums, seminars, symposia, round tables on topical issues. Both sides agreed to support each other's interests.
