Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation of main figures achieved in the chemical industry and planned projects, the presidential press service said.
4 chemical clusters are being set up at large enterprises of Karakalpakstan autonomy, Fergana, Navoi and Tashkent provinces. They will produce from raw materials to finished products. Currently, 14 projects worth $1.8 billion are underway and another 29 projects worth $5.6 billion are being developed.
The President said that in order to effectively launch these clusters, it is necessary to create a project office, divide the vacant areas into lots, and attract private investors.
He gave instructions to introduce best practices and modern technologies in chemical plants, as well as the privatization of the state share in them.
He also emphasized the importance of continuous supply of mineral fertilizers to agriculture in the current difficult situation in the world.
