Six countries, including four Arab countries, will receive the status of dialogue partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the SCO Samarkand Summit. This was stated by the national coordinator of the SCO from Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov.

According to him, the Samarkand Summit will be "a breakthrough in expanding the number of SCO partner states."

Earlier, the Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov said that at the summit in Samarkand the signing w of memorandums as expected on granting the status of dialogue partner in the SCO with Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Approval of applications for obtaining the partner status with Bahrain and the Maldives is also expected. There is no information about the sixth country yet.
