The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Finland, Qadam Sultanov, met with Professor Gulnoz Hallieva, a well-known researcher in the field of manuscripts.
Gulnoz Hallieva was in Finland from August 1-26, where she conducted research on manuscripts belonging to Uzbekistan as part of the project to create a database and electronic platform of Turkic manuscripts Yevroturcologica.uz, which are not available in Uzbekistan.
As a result of scientific research conducted in the National Library of Finland, the Uzbek scientist found that there were more than 300 manuscripts related to Uzbekistan’s ancient history and culture. 11 of them consist of manuscript copies of Sufi dictionaries, descriptions of the properties of useful herbs, and other materials, which are unique in Uzbekistan.
Gulnoz Hallieva said that one of the most valuable finds were Munis and Ogahi's work "Firdavs ul-Iqbal" on the ancient history of Khorezm. 9 manuscripts of the work are known, the copy kept in Finland is of great importance, the edition consists of 1,812 pages.
