On August 17-18, Tashkent will host the fourth meeting of the ministers of interior and public security of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The event, which will be held as part of Uzbekistan's chairmanship, will be attended by delegations of the ministries of interior and public security of the SCO member-states, SCO observer states and international organizations, including Interpol, the UN Office for Combating Drugs and Crime, the Bureau for the Coordination of Activities fight against organized crime and other dangerous types of crimes on the territory of the CIS member states and the CIS anti-terrorist center.

The agenda of the meeting includes discussions of issues of international and regional security, further development of cooperation in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, countering terrorism, extremism and separatism, combating transnational organized crime and others.

As part of the event, bilateral meetings are also planned with heads of delegations to discuss issues of improving international cooperation.
