President Shavkat Mirziyoyev accepted the invitation of the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to pay a working visit to Turkmenistan on May 19-20, UzA said.

As a follow-up to the Uzbek-Turkmen high-level dialogue during the state visit of the Uzbek President to Turkmenistan on March 6-7, the two leaders will hold talks in the city of Turkmenbashi on topical issues of bilateral ties in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, as well as exchange of views on the regional and international issues.

President Mirziyoyev will also visit the Avaza national tourism zone, where children from Uzbekistan's various provinces that have been affected the most by the consequences of the Aral ecological catastrophe will get treatment.

The Presidents will oversee the signing of a number of intergovernmental, interdepartmental and other documents aimed at further development of cooperation in various fields, with businesses of the two countries expected to conclude a package of mutually beneficial commercial accords.
