Uzbekistan and Belarus agreed to work on the abolition of the permit system for international freight transport of goods, said the Ministry of Transport of Belarus following the meeting of the Uzbek- Belarusian mixed commission on international road transport.
The parties also discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the transport sector, determined the number of permits for international transportation for 2022-2023.
In addition, an agreement was reached on the allocation of additional 6,000 bilateral and transit Uzbek permits for Belarusian carriers and 4,000 for to/from third countries.
