On July 5, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the presidential press service said.
The two leaders discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the second meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council in Tashkent in March this year.
The President of Turkey expressed firm support for the efforts of the head of state to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in Karakalpakstan.
The counterparts also considered the ways to expand the Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted ties, primarily in trade, economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian spheres and emphasized the importance of promoting bilateral projects in trade, transport, industry, agriculture and other areas.
The leaders exchange views on the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in November 2022 in Samarkand and congratulated each other on the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
