The next Central Asian Summit will be held on July 21 in Kyrgyzstan, in the city of Cholpon-ata on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. This was mentioned in a statement of the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov following his telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 4.
During the conversation, Sadyr Japarov noted that all the leaders of the Central Asian countries had already accepted the invitation to attend the Summit.
The initiative to hold the regular Summits was put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017 at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The first summit of the heads of state was held in March 2018 in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, the second - in November 2019 in Tashkent, the third - in August 2021 in the Avaza tourist zone in Turkmenistan.
