Nukus Airport will be closed during curfew, Uzbekistan Airports said. Reportedly in order to implement the state of emergency in Karakalpakstan and to ensure the implementation of the presidential decision, the operation of this airport will be limited during the curfew hours (from 21:00 to 07:00).
The airline has informed passengers about flight delays.
Uzbekistan Airways’ Tashkent to Nukus flight scheduled for July 3 has been cancelled. According to the airline, the passengers of the canceled flights will be delivered to their destinations on July 4 by HY011/HY012 flights.
"We offer apologies to passengers for inconvenience caused. We hope for your understanding," the airline said.
Earlier, the international Nukus to Beyneu train service was canceled.
State of emergency was introduced in Nukus from July 3 to August 2, and a number of measures and temporary restrictions imposed.
