As reported earlier, for the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the production of synthetic oil was launched at the Uzbekistan GTL plant on June 15.
This event was a new technological milestone in the development of the modern petrochemical and oil and gas processing industry of the country, and a historic day symbolizing the beginning of the production of synthetic liquid fuel in Uzbekistan.
Today, at 7.30 am, the Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz Mekhriddin Abdullayev officially announced that the Uzbekistan GTL plant produced and received the first synthetic diesel products in the history of the petrochemical industry of Uzbekistan.
He emphasized that at the Uzbekistan GTL plant, which is the largest enterprise in the oil and gas industry in our country and in the region as a whole, for the first time in the history of the petrochemical industry of Uzbekistan, production was launched and the first products were obtained on synthetic fuel, and congratulated on this achievement all employees and the team of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
He noted that the main commissioning works of the plant, including ensuring the synchronous operation of about 11 thousand pieces of equipment and main production units, as well as their full control and management, are independently carried out by locals engineers and young Uzbeks, without direct participation of foreign experts.
According to the agreements reached, the first batch of synthetic diesel of 5,000 tons will be sent to the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
The plant is designed to process 3.6 BCM of natural gas and produce 1.5 million tons of finished liquid products. In particular, 307,000 tons of jet fuel, 724,000 tons of diesel fuel, 437,000 tons of naphtha, and 53,000 tons of liquefied gas will be produced.
