503.6 thousand foreigners visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in May 2022, the State Statistics Committee said in a report on Tuesday.
Reportedly, this figure increased by 363.4 thousand or 3.6 times compared to the same period last year.
The largest number of tourists in May were from:
- Kazakhstan - 169.9 thousand;
- Kyrgyzstan - 141.3 thousand;
- Tajikistan - 116.0 thousand;
- Russia - 47.5 thousand;
- Turkey - 6.4 thousand;
- Germany - 2.2 thousand;
- France - 1.7 thousand;
- USA - 1.5 thousand;
- Korea - 1.4 thousand;
- India - 1.3 thousand;
- Israel - 1.3 thousand;
- Great Britain - 1,1 thousand;
- Belarus - 1,0 thousand;
- Italy - 0.7 thousand;
- Spain - 0.5 thousand.
