On May 19-25, 2022 in London with British press and audiences from all over Eurasia, three films by directors from Uzbekistan will be released in order to promote national culture in the English-speaking space.

After careful selection by the jury among 100 submissions from Europe and Asia, the short film “On the Silk Road” by the aspiring director Sherzod Nazarov, the feature film “Lonely Boat” by the screenwriter, actor and director from Tashkent, Nazim Tulyakhodzhaev, and the documentary film “Share the Sky ” by musician and director of documentary and feature films Aliaskar Fatkhullin reached the final of the IV Eurasian ECG Film Festival in London and will be presented in the heart of England at the Premier Cinemas cinema in front of an international audience.

On May 6-10, within the framework of the International Burabay Short Film Festival in Kazakhstan, Borovoe resort, a pre-premiere of Uzbek films took place, where the works deeply touched the hearts of those present and caused a lively discussion.

“A beautiful film, intensely shot and ravishingly designed.”, said American director and animator, Tim Wilson. “Beautifully crafted scenography and lovely use of video ef ects to create a unique ambience for this film. Pacing and structure is slightly compromised by the divergent story threads.” British filmmaker and film critic Michael Sagatis commented on the Share the Sky documentary.

ECG Film Festival (London) is the only Eurasian film festival in the UK, which aims to acquaint English-speaking audiences to the Eurasian cinema and promote it at the international level. The film festival is held in conjunction with the British Romford Film Festival, which allows to attract more local representatives of the film industry, as well as the press and representatives of embassies.
