Today, May 15, the President of Uzbekistan landed in the United Arab Emirates, the presidential press service said in a statement.
Reportedly, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is attending the mourning ceremonies in memory of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who died after a long illness on May 13.
"The program of the visit also includes a meeting with the Emir of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who was elected the day before by the Supreme Council as the President of the UAE," the statement added.
According to president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held meetings in Abu Dhabi with the new President of the United Arab Emirates Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy PM/Minister for Presidential Affairs Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his condolences to them.
