On April 25, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Organic Products Bill into Law. The Law regulates the production, processing, storage, transportation, labeling and sale, as well as conformity assessment and authorization of organic products.
Subsidies shall be provided for the production of certified organic products, taking into account the specifics of growing crops transferred to the production of organic products.
In the production of organic products, healthy animals and plants, safe products and raw materials of animal and vegetable origin are used.
For labeling organic products, one can use the definitions organic, biologic, ecologic and natural.
The register of organic producers shall be kept and posted on the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture.
