New airline Silk Avia will be created in Uzbekistan for domestic flights before October 1. This became known during the government meeting chaired by the President conference call on Tuesday.
In addition, in order to meet the demand of tourists for flights, from July 1, up to 50 percent discounts will be introduced on services provided to foreign airlines under the Pilgrimage Tourism program.
In order to reduce costs, 9 aircraft will be fully converted to economy class.
At the end of March, Rano Juraeva unveiled some details about the new regional airline Silk Avia.
