People appealed to the police department stating that they suffered from unprofessional service at the Guangzhou medical clinic, the Tashkent city police department said.

According to them, doctors, without studying the clinical picture and based only on external examination, prescribed treatment and gave unknown drugs worth from 1.5 to 2.5 million soums, but the treatment did not give any results.

Dissatisfied with the results of treatment, citizens complained to doctors, clinic workers tried to calm them down and asked them not to make a fuss in front of other patients, the police reported.

“I saw an advertisement on TV and decided to contact them. I met with a doctor, complained to him about back pain and asked: “Do I need a tomography?” He said that I had a hernia, and for 2.4 million soums he promised to cure me by acupuncture. I got acupuncture, drank the medicine and a week later I went to the doctor again. I said that they did not cure me and demanded the money back. The doctor said: “Go where you want, we will not return the money.” Then the manager intervened, and half of the amount was returned to me - 1.2 million soums, I never got the rest of the money, ”said one of the affected patients of the clinic.

As part of the criminal case, when checking the branches of the clinic in Tashkent and the provinces, several types of local and foreign drugs were found and seized as evidence without any documents.

A criminal case has been initiated against the executives and workers of Guangzhou under Production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale or sale of substandard or counterfeit medicines charge.

Currently, the composition of drugs seized from the Guangzhou clinic is being checked.
