Uzbekistan strongly condemns the terrorist attacks committed during the holy month of Ramadan in the cities of Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kunduz, the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

"Acts of violence, which caused numerous civilian casualties, impede the establishment of sustainable peace in Afghanistan," the statement said.

The Uzbek authorities expressed sincere condolences to the families and close ones of the victims, and also wishes a swift recovery to the injured.

At least six people were killed and about 20 people were injured as a result of three explosions in two schools in Kabul on April 19. An explosion at a Shiite mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif caused the deaths of at least 30 people and injured 80 others. An explosion at a mosque in Kunduz killed at least 10 people and injured 15.
