The IT company EPAM Systems, founded by Belarussians, relocated up to a thousand of its workers from Russia and Belarus to Uzbekistan, Forbes reported with reference to local entrepreneurs and EPAM specialists.

"We have around 600 people in a common chat for Uzbekistan. So, EPAM might have relocated up to a thousand of workers," one of the company workers said.

A local entrepreneur said all hotels in the country are full. 80% of those who arrived from Russia and Uzbekistan are EPAM workers.

According to the information that came from the government meeting held by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 14, around 3,000 foreign IT specialists arrived in Uzbekistan since start of this year.

EPAM representative Sofia Odintsova said the company was not ready yet to comment on relocation of its workers to Uzbekistan.
