446 kg of animal meat of unknown origin without sanitary documents was found in a Nexia car at the Syrdarya road patrol post on April 11, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Reportedly, a resident of a village in Chirakchi district was carrying meat in the trunk of his car heading to Tashkent designated for Taheknt pubs and restaurants. The cargo was discovered by policemen of Syrdarya province police department and the department of veterinary medicine and livestock development.
A laboratory study at the State Center for Diagnostics of Animal Diseases and Food Safety showed that the meat was unsuitable for consumption and was buried as per the conclusion of the provincial department of veterinary medicine and livestock development.
The car was placed on the penalty area. The Criminal Investigation Department of the Syrdarya province police department is conducting an investigation.
