Today, April 18, after a long period of dry weather, a humid air mass due to a high-altitude cyclone over Turkmenistan will begin to spread to the southwestern provinces of Uzbekistan, Uzhydromet said.
“In Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Samarkand provinces, short-term rains will pass in places, thunderstorms are possible. The rest of the country will remain without precipitation. Daytime air temperature will be in the range of 25-30°C, with rain 20-25°C.
On April 19-20, the influence of the cyclone will spread to the entire Uzbekistan. It will rain across the country, in some places heavy rains are possible. The air temperature will gradually drop and on April 20 will be 18-23°.
In addition, on April 18 and 19, in some places the wind is expected to increase to 17-22 m/s, in some areas with dusty snow.
Dry weather is expected in the second half of the business week in Uzbekistan. The nights will be a little cooler, and by April 22 the daytime temperature will rise again to 25-28°. On April 18-21, mudflow and flood events are possible in the foothill and mountainous provinces of the country.
