In two months the export of pomegranates from Uzbekistan surpassed 5 thousand tons, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.

Reportedly, in January-February 2022, Uzbekistan exported $5.4 million worth of 4.9 thousand tons of pomegranates, recording an increased by 1,500 tons compared to the same period last year.

In two months of 2022, the largest importer of pomegranates from Uzbekistan is Russia - 2,500 tons.

Russia was followed by:

  • Kazakhstan - 1.7 thousand tons;
  • Tajikistan - 492 tons;
  • Kyrgyzstan - 239 tons.

Provinces that exported the most pomegranates in two months:

  • Kashkadarya province - 998 tons;
  • Surkhandarya province - 823 tons;
  • Tashkent province - 767 tons;
  • Fergana province - 661 tons.
