The Cabinet of Ministers posted the draft Measures to organize the production of drugs based on biotechnologies Resolution on Wednesday.
As per the President’s Additional measures for swift development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry in 2022-2026 Decree:
- Commission for development of the pharmaceutical industry has been formed;
- Territory of the Biotechnological Cluster has been expanded due to the allocation of an additional 80 hectares of land adjacent to the innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster (biotechnological cluster) "Tashkent Pharma Park" in Zangiota district of Tashkent province;
- 80 hectares of irrigated agricultural land allocated for the expansion of the biotechnological cluster have been transferred to the category of industrial land;
- Six investment projects worth $ 142.8 million are being implemented in the biotechnology cluster.
Ensuring the development of the pharmaceutical industry on the basis of advanced technologies and ensuring the quality of products as per international standards:
- Target list of promising investment projects proposed for placement in the territory of the innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster "Tashkent Pharma Park" in Zangiota district;
- Program to regulate production of substances and biologically active substances based on the processing of medicinal plants will be approved.
