After the visit of the Turkish President, the President Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of the planned creative projects in Khorezm, the presidential press service said in a statement.
Reportedly, the construction of the Al- Khwarizmi town in Urgench was planned at the initiative of the President. For this, 110 hectares of land had been allocated near the airport. The general concept of the city was approved at the presentation on February 7 this year. This time, the internal content of each structure was discussed.
According to the project, a university, an IT park, residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, cultural and sports complexes will be built here. The park of Mohammed al-Khwarizmi will be located in the city downtown, where a statue of the scientist will be erected. The head of state instructed to form a commission to manage construction work.
- This place will be a city within a city. Universities, innovation centers and schools form a science and education cluster. There will also be housing for workers, a high-tech industrial zone. This town needs to be built with dignity and quality, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It is also planned to reconstruct the building of the Art Museum in Urgench, expand the exposition area and move the Puppet Theater in Khiva to a modern building. The President stressed the importance of the effective use of new buildings, creating conditions for them to receive income through the provision of additional services.
