On March 23, the Tashkent City Police Department’s Counter-Terrorism and Extremism Division received a report that a woman named Sevara was sending young girls to Istanbul, Turkey, for prostitution.

According to the Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry, search operation found that it was a female named A.S., 27, resident of Uchtepa district.

Reportedly, she was arrested when she was sending a 26-year-old female of Zangiota district, I.Sh. to Turkey.

A.S. admitted to committing the crime together with Ferdi, a Turkish citizen, who sent him $ 500 to send a female to Turkey, of which she bought a plane ticket for $ 350 and kept the remaining $ 150 as a reward for her services.

She is now facing Human trafficking by a group of persons with prior conspiracy charge initiated against A.S. by the Investigation Department of the Uchtepa District Police Department and was remanded in custody as a pre-trial detention measure.

An investigation is currently underway.
