Three-times-a-week Tashkent to Almaty high speed train service will be launched after two years of restrictions, the Uzbekistan Railways said in a statement.
Reportedly starting from May 2, 2022, the service will depart from Tashkent Central to Kazakhstan every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundasy and will be operated by Kazakh Talgo Tulpar trains.
According to the company, the resumption of services with other neighboring countries is expected to be gradually opened on agreement of parties.
As reported earlier, the Nukus to Beyneu service would be launched on April 1, also from March 16, regular international bus services between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan would also be resumed.
