On March 21, celebrations on the occasion of the Navruz holiday were held in Tashkent at the Humo Arena complex. The event was attended by the president, who offered his wishes to Uzbeks on the occasion of the holiday.

“Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you, all our multinational people, on the New Year according to the eastern calendar - Navruz holiday. I wish you all peace and tranquility, good health, happiness and great success. Today, in these wonderful moments, I wholeheartedly congratulate our fellow countrymen abroad on the Navruz holiday, express my respect and best wishes to them,” the head of state said.

The President recalled that for the past two years, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Uzbeks were unable to celebrate the holiday as widely as now.

“And finally, after a long wait, we are all greeting Navruz again with great enthusiasm. Today, together with you, we are celebrating Navruz at the Khumo Palace, because, as you all can see, in recent weeks, a cold snap has come to our country with continuous precipitation. At the same time, we are well aware that rains are for us a harbinger of abundance, well-being and prosperity. And we are grateful to the Almighty for this,” he said.

As you know, there are many different holidays and significant dates in the world, but Navruz occupies a special place in exalting the honor and dignity of a person.

“It is on these days that interethnic friendship, mutual respect, spiritual generosity and mercy are even more clearly manifested in our fertile land. As a practical embodiment of our good deeds to exalt the honor and dignity of a person, we all visit relatives and friends, the sick, the elderly and people with disabilities, families in need of support and attention, provide them with help, give the warmth of our hearts. We must cherish such admirable centuries-old traditions and continue to educate our children on these humanistic values,” Mirziyoyev said.

In addition, the head of state congratulated all foreign partners, representatives of the diplomatic corps participating in the celebration on the international day of Navruz, wished peace, well-being and prosperity to their countries and peoples.

“On this significant day, once again, from the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you and all our people on the Navruz holiday. May Navruz bring peace, goodness and prosperity to each of us, to every home! May the life of our respected fathers and mothers be long and joyful, may all the good hopes of our dear women come true! May our children and grandchildren be happy! May our native Uzbekistan prosper! Happy Navruz holiday to all of you,” he concluded.
