President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Organization of military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents Vatan Tayanchi (Support of the Motherland”) Decree.

According to the Decree:

Military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents "Vatan tayanchi" was set up under the Ministry of Defense;

In the defense departments of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, provinces and the city of Tashkent, positions of deputy head of department for educational and ideological work and deputy head of the department for educational and ideological work of the district (city) defense departments have been introduced.

“Vatan Tayanchi shall be a state institution of the military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents, whose activities are coordinated by the Deputy Minister of Defense for educational and ideological work.

According to the decree, prior to conscription, "Vatan Tayanchi" detachments consisting of students of 10-11 grades (20 people) will be formed in schools under the guidance of a teacher of primary military training. Membership in the units will be voluntary.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, one member of the Vatan Tayanchi detachment who actively participated in the Vatan Tayanchi movement and graduated with honors from school will be given a recommendation for admission to a higher military educational institution in accordance with the selection procedure established by the Ministry of Defense.

The holders of the recommendation will receive a benefit in the form of additional 5% of score of test results when being admitted to higher military educational institutions. Recommendations will be valid for 3 years from the issue date.
