President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today spoke to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev over the telephone, the presidential press service said.
The parties reportedly discussed the ways to further enhance the Uzbek-Kazakh ties of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance, expanding mutually beneficial practical cooperation.
The sides focused on the implementation of cooperation projects between the major enterprises of the two countries, primarily in the field of trade, energy, engineering, chemical industry, construction industry, transport and logistics.
The parties valued the regular fruitful contacts at the government level aimed at promoting joint economic projects and cultural and humanitarian programs in accordance with the agreements at the highest level.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also exchanged views on the international agenda and important aspects of regional cooperation.
The conversation took place in a traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere.
