Uzbekistan today received the delivery of special syringes and boxes for their safe disposal worth $669,000 as part of the global COVAX mechanism, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The syringes will be used for inoculations with the Pfizer-BionNTech vaccine, a new shipment of which is expected in mid-March.
To date, the total number of doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine administered in Uzbekistan is at over 2.6 million.
