On March 1, at 9:15 a.m., a second special Uzbekistan Airways plane arrived in Tashkent from the Polish city of Katowice with 258 Uzbeks evacuated from Ukraine, announced the official representative of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry Yusup Kabulzhanov. The first flight arrived late on the evening of 28 February.

To date, 509 Uzbeks have been returned from Ukraine through the joint efforts of diplomatic missions and relevant departments, the representative of the Foreign Ministry noted. Now there are more than 650 people in the accumulation zone at the Korchova checkpoint, all the necessary conditions have been created for them.

“A series of additional evacuation flights is planned for the export of citizens of Uzbekistan,” he said.

Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland deal with the problems of arriving citizens and coordinate their collection at the airport. The diplomatic mission has a round-the-clock operational headquarters.
