The President signed the Additional measures for the further development of Tashkent city public transport Decree. According to the Road Map of the Tashkent City Public Transport Development Concept until 2025, it is planned to integrate all existing intersections in Tashkent into an automated traffic management system.
In this case, the following practical measures will be developed:
- survey of intersections with the involvement of relevant specialists;
- installation of modern special automated photo and video equipment at all 605 existing intersections;
- Integration of all special automated photo and video devices installed at 494 intersections into the automated traffic management system.
It is also planned to upgrade the technical devices of traffic organization.
The following practical measures will be taken:
- complete inventory check of existing technical devices of traffic organization;
- installation of 14,000 missing road signs and replacement of 15,000 old ones, restoration of 3,000 road signs, installation of 11,000 new road signs;
- drawing road lines at all streets;
- erecting 55 new traffic lights.
