A gold mine of 1,643 hectares between the mountains in Urgut district has been put up for sale. The Kyzylturik gold deposit, located in the Zarafshan-Gissar mountain range, 35 kilometers from Urgut city, has been put up for sale with a starting price of 23 billion 651 million soums, or US$ 2.1 million.
Buyer(s) will have to:
- ensure the application of technological regulations with a separation factor of at least 85% of useful components in production;
- attract at least $ 20 million in investments within the investment project within a year after receiving permits required for the project;
- invest $ 150 million to implement the project;
- start mining and processing of minerals in the field within 36 months from the date of issuance of the license, as well as to ensure that the annual mining is carried out at a level not less than the amount specified in the TIA;
- there is a requirement to create jobs in accordance with the TIA for the population of the region and district where the excavation is carried out, ensuring that the number of jobs created is not less than 600.
Excavation at the gold mine put up for sale shall be carried out underground. The mining area for sale is located at an altitude of 1000-1600 meters above sea level.
