Mirishkor district man, detained by police officers, died the next day in the hospital. The provincial prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation probe, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

Reportedly, on February 11, 2022, at 20:30, a man of Madaniyat mahalla of Mirishkor district A.K. reported to the regional department that citizen S.Kh., 35, living in the village of Chandir, was drunk on the street arguing with neighbors.

Upon arrival at the place, the policemen registered the offense and placed the man, who had previously been registered as prone to drunkenness, to the Kashkadarya province branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Narcology.

Patient S.Kh. was examined by doctors and was hospitalized. However, at 23:40 he was taken to the Kashkadarya province branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care due to his deteriorating health.

Despite the fact that S.Kh. was provided first aid by the doctors, he died on February 12 at 01:30. The cause of death is indicated: "Acute alcohol intoxication, aspiration syndrome, alcoholic coma, acute respiratory failure II-III degree, acute cardiovascular failure II degree."

“The situation is under control of the prosecutor’s office, the investigation did not reveal any signs of bodily harm or other physical violence on the body of the deceased citizen S.Kh.”

The Kashkadarya province prosecutor's office has not yet made public the findings of the study. According to them, the Karshi city prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation check on the death of S.Kh.
