At the negotiations between the Uzbek Deputy Minister of Transport A. Muminov and the Kazakh Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development B. Kamaliev discussed promising areas of cooperation, as well as issues related to improving the conditions for the transportation of goods.
At the meeting, the parties confirmed the importance of easing epidemiological requirements and expediting the process of resuming passenger transportation by land transport.
The working group also reviewed infrastructure projects in the field of road and rail transport: the Turkestan - Chimkent - Tashkent high-speed railway and the Uchkuduk - Kyzylorda transport corridor.
The introduction of these new routes will help to significantly reduce aircraft flight times, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on the global environmental situation, fuel efficiency and attract additional users to the region.
At the meeting, a relevant protocol was signed on the agreements reached.
