The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kiev, through its Telegram channel, issued a statement to fellow countrymen who are in Ukraine, Dunyo reported.
“The embassy is in constant contact with the Ukrainian state bodies, the diplomatic corps and our compatriots,” the statement said.
The diplomatic mission called on fellow countrymen "not to distribute unverified, fake information and not to panic."
The diplomatic mission also informed that Uzbekistan Airways is regularly operating flights to Kiev and those wishing may return to Tashkent.
The statement came amid a call from more than three dozen countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany and other EU countries, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Australia, to their citizens to leave Ukraine in the near future due to the security reasons in connection with the threat Russian invasion.
